OYSHIA BAGS OUTSTANDING STATE AWARD ON HEALTH INSURANCE IN NIGERIA

The Oyo State Health Insurance Agency has received an award of excellence for her outstanding performances on Health Insurance Scheme organized by Dove Health Care 2023 Award program held at Paul Hendricks Hall of The University College Hospital, Ibadan, recently.

According to the organizers of The Dove Healthcare2023 Award program, The recognition was as a result of the Agency’s excellent performance in easing the plight of the poor and vulnerable in the State and Nigeria in general.

In his keynote address, the Hon Commissioner for Health, Dr Olabode Ladipo who was represented by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr Soji Adeyanju commended the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency under the leadership of Dr Sola Akande for the rapid development of Health Insurance scheme in the state as well as projecting the good image of Oyo State to the outside world in the area of Health Insurance Management.

In his acceptance speech, the Executive Secretary, Dr Sola Akande dedicated the award to over 300,000 enrollees in the State, the Oyo State Governor, Engr Seyi Makinde for providing the enabling environment for the Agency as well as the entire staff of the Agency. He added that this will be the sixth award received so far by the Agency within the last six months.

Amongst the dignitaries that grace the occasion were, the representative of her Excellence, Dr (Mrs) Florence Ajimobi represented by Dr. Olamiju Àjànàkú, Chief Medical Director, UCH Prof. Jesse Àbíọdún Otegbayo, Former Chief Medical Director(UCH) Prof. Biodun Ilésanmí, Rábì Abdallah (NTA Network) and OYSHIA Management amongst others.
