Ọ̀YỌ́ STATE HEALTH INSURANCE AGENCY APPLAUDS PASTOR JOHNSON AWORENI’S GENEROUSITY AT Adoption MODEL LAUNCH

The Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA) celebrated a landmark moment in its missionary to provide affordable healthcare to all residents of the State, at a ceremony held at the PHC Orita Aperin in Ibadan on the 19th December, 2023, a renowned philanthropist Pastor Johnson Aworeni announced his single handedly sponsorship of Health Insurance coverage for 500 lives under OYSHIA’s Adoption Model.

The Adoption Model is a innovative approach to expanding Health Insurance coverage in the State. Under this Model, individuals or organizations can sponsor the enrollment of others into the Scheme, making healthcare more accessible for Vulnerable population. Pastor Aworeni’s generous contribution sets a remarkable precedent for others involvement in supporting healthcare initiatives in the State.

Speaking at the flagging off, the Executive Secretary OYSHIA, Dr Sola Akande expressed his deep gratitude to Pastor Johnson Aworeni for His dedication to the well-being of Oyo State, most especially the people living in his local government area of Ìbàdàn South East “Pastor Aworeni’s act of kindness shine a bright light on the power of philanthropist to change lives.

Dr. Akande said, his generousity will ensure that 500 individuals and their families can now have access to quality healthcare services without facing financial hard ship.

Pastor Johnson Aworeni in his address, emphasized the importance of ensuring access to healthcare for all. “Everyone deserve the opportunity to receive proper medical care without worrying about the cost” he stated “I am humbled to be able to play a role in supporting OYSHIA’s vital missionary and I encourage others to join me in making a difference in the lives of fellow citizens”

The ceremony included the testimony from the beneficiaries of the Adoption Model. One recipents, Mrs. Shared said this program is a livesaver, that now í can go to the hospital without spending out of pocket.

The launch of the Adoption Model at PHC Orita Aperin marks a significant step forward in OYSHIA’s ongoing efforts to achieve universal health coverage in Oyo State, with the support of generosity individuals like Pastor Johnson Aworeni, OYSHIA is confident that it can make healthcare a reality for every residents, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
